Cookie Policy
Last updated: 14 May 2026
Summary: Ragify uses only strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in, managed by our authentication provider Clerk. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is required for strictly necessary cookies under the GDPR and ePrivacy Directive.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners. Cookies set by the website you visit are called "first-party cookies"; cookies set by other parties are called "third-party cookies".
2. Cookies We Use
Ragify uses three strictly necessary cookies, all set by Clerk (our authentication provider) to manage your session:
| Cookie name | Category | Purpose | Expiry | Required |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| __session | Strictly necessary | Short-lived JWT issued by Clerk containing your session identity. Required to authenticate API requests. | Session / ~1 hour | Yes |
| __client_uat | Strictly necessary | Stores the last update time of the Clerk client state, used to synchronise sessions across tabs. | 1 year | Yes |
| __clerk_db_jwt | Strictly necessary | Longer-lived Clerk token used to silently refresh the short-lived session without requiring re-login. | 30 days | Yes |
3. Cookie Categories
Required for the website to function. They enable core features such as user authentication and security. These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the service. Under the GDPR and ePrivacy Directive, consent is not required for strictly necessary cookies.
Not used. We do not use any analytics or performance cookies (e.g. Google Analytics).
Not used beyond what is strictly necessary for authentication.
Not used. We do not serve advertising and do not use tracking or targeting cookies.
4. Browser Storage
In addition to cookies, Clerk may use the browser's localStorage to cache session state and synchronise authentication across tabs. This data is strictly functional, never shared with third parties, and is cleared when you log out.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Ragify does not load advertising networks, social media buttons, or analytics scripts. Two third-party services may set cookies or use browser storage:
- Clerk — sets the session cookies listed above as a sub-processor for authentication. Clerk is incorporated in the United States and participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. clerk.com/privacy.
- LemonSqueezy — may set cookies during the payment checkout flow only. lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
6. Managing and Deleting Cookies
Because Ragify only uses strictly necessary cookies, disabling them will prevent you from logging in. You can delete the session cookies at any time via your browser settings — this is equivalent to logging out.
How to manage cookies in your browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
7. Legal Basis
All session cookies listed above are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and fall within the exemption for technically necessary cookies under Recital 25 of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) — no consent banner is required.
8. Changes to This Policy
We will update this policy if we introduce new cookies or change our practices. Any material change will be notified via the Privacy Policy notice mechanism. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
